However, with the popularity of drag or aerial TEM exploration, the structural stability problem caused by bumps or windage leads to non-negligible primary field leakages, thereby reducing the detection reliability. This paper incorporates the primary field shielding stability as a key indicator of the weak coupling designs and proposes a calibration scheme for this stability assessment, based on which the shielding stability of five typical weak coupling coil designs is quantitatively compared, and the relationship between the primary field density and the shielding stability explored in this study may contribute to the selection and improvement of TEM coils.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s20020519","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,1,17]],"date-time":"2020-01-17T07:39:02Z","timestamp":1579246742000},"page":"519","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["Analysis of Primary Field Shielding Stability for the Weak Coupling Coil Designs"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"20","author":[{"given":"Jiangbo","family":"Huang","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University, Chongqing 400044, China"},{"name":"School of Robot Engineering, Yangtze Normal University, Chongqing 408100, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Haowen","family":"Wang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Robot Engineering, Yangtze Normal University, Chongqing 408100, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Zhihong","family":"Fu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University, Chongqing 400044, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Wei","family":"Fu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Operation and maintenance department, State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company, Chongqing 400010, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2020,1,17]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","first-page":"721","article-title":"Research and development on the air-core coil sensor for mine transient electromagnetic exploration","volume":"59","author":"Jun","year":"2016","journal-title":"Chin.
