The deformation changes the belt speed. Measurement of the belt speed on the friction contact sections is essential to identify elastic slippage. However, the scale of the phenomenon is small, so it is necessary to use precise measuring equipment. The article presents measurements of the linear belt speed with the use of various sensors and measuring devices. A measurement error was determined for each of the presented measurement methods.
