The IMU sensors were attached to each subject while performing a 6 m walking test. Sixteen variables extracted from the measured data were divided into 7 GE and 9 TM variables explaining pelvis tilt, oblique, and rotation. (3) Results: The tilt range variables of the trunk movement on the affected and unaffected sides were lower than those of the healthy side; this showed between-group differences in various GE variables. For the healthy and affected sides, 80% of variances were explained with 2 or 3 PCs involving only a few dominant variables; and (4) Conclusions: The difference between each side leg should be considered during the development of a diagnosis method. This research can be utilized to develop functional assessment tools for personalized treatment and to design appropriate training protocols.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s20247338","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,12,21]],"date-time":"2020-12-21T09:41:41Z","timestamp":1608543701000},"page":"7338","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":18,"title":["Principal Characteristics of Affected and Unaffected Side Trunk Movement and Gait Event Parameters during Hemiplegic Stroke Gait with IMU Sensor"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"20","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-2661-349X","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Jeong-Woo","family":"Seo","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Future medicine division, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Daejeon 34504, Korea"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-2717-8418","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Seul-Gee","family":"Kim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Future medicine division, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Daejeon 34504, Korea"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-5538-6674","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Joong Il","family":"Kim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Future medicine division, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Daejeon 34504, Korea"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-5520-9782","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Boncho","family":"Ku","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Future medicine division, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Daejeon 34504, Korea"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Kahye","family":"Kim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Future medicine division, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Daejeon 34504, Korea"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Sangkwan","family":"Lee","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Internal Medicine and Neuroscience, College of Korean Medicine, Wonkwang University, Iksan 54538, Korea"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-0408-5569","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Jaeuk U.","family":"Kim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Future medicine division, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Daejeon 34504, Korea"},{"name":"Korean Convergence Medicine, University of Science and Technology, Daejeon 34054, Korea"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2020,12,21]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"136","DOI":"10.1016\/0966-6362(96)01063-6","article-title":"Hemiparetic gait following stroke.
