However, due to the strong scattering and absorption of tissue, the implementation of non-invasive microscopic imaging is very difficult. Traditional single-pixel microscopes, based on reflective optical systems, provide an alternative solution for scattering media imaging. Here, the single-pixel microscope with transmissive liquid crystal modulation is proposed. The microscopic ability of the proposed microscope is calibrated. The multi-spectral microscopic imaging of the object is demonstrated. The transmissive imaging of the object behind the scattering media is analyzed. The proposed prototype of the transmissive single-pixel microscope is expected to be applied in microscopic imaging through scattering media and medical imaging.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s21082721","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,4,12]],"date-time":"2021-04-12T21:47:33Z","timestamp":1618264053000},"page":"2721","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":21,"title":["Transmissive Single-Pixel Microscopic Imaging through Scattering Media"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"21","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-6529-6071","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Huaxia","family":"Deng","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Instrument Science and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-2928-0187","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Guan","family":"Wang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Instrument Science and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-3752-1136","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Qiang","family":"Li","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Instrument Science and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-9451-4245","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Qianzhen","family":"Sun","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Instrument Science and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-9682-7499","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Mengchao","family":"Ma","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Instrument Science and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-4501-4724","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Xiang","family":"Zhong","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Instrument Science and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2021,4,13]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"Khan, M.A.U., Khan, T.M., Aziz, K.I., Ahmad, S.S., Mir, N., and Elbakush, E.
