Among them, all agents are described by discrete-time systems. Firstly, in order to compensate for the communication delay, a networked predictive control method is adopted and a predictive-based control protocol is designed. Secondly, for the neutrally stable agent model, leaderless and leader-following situations are considered and it is proven that, under a fixed communication topology, adopting the prediction-based control protocol makes the multi-agent systems with saturation constraint and communication delay achieve a global consensus. Finally, the results are illustrated via numerical simulation.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s22031007","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,1,27]],"date-time":"2022-01-27T22:01:57Z","timestamp":1643320917000},"page":"1007","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["Global Consensus of High-Order Discrete-Time Multi-Agent Systems with Communication Delay and Saturation Constraint"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"22","author":[{"given":"Chong","family":"Tan","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Automation, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Harbin 150080, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-3936-9932","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Yin","family":"Cui","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Automation, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Harbin 150080, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Yanjiang","family":"Li","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Mathematical Science, Heilongjiang University, Harbin 150080, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2022,1,27]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"1503","DOI":"10.1109\/TAC.2008.924961","article-title":"On consensus algorithms for double-integrator dynamics","volume":"53","author":"Ren","year":"2008","journal-title":"IEEE Trans.
