The flexibility of Ecoflex and the deformability of E-GaIn enable the sensors to be stretched by 100%. Ecoflex gel has sufficiently large adhesion force to skin, even though the adhesion force is smaller than that for commercially available adhesives. This enables the sensor to be used for non-invasive monitoring of human motion. The mechanical and electrical properties of the sensor are experimentally evaluated. The effectiveness of the proposed sensors is demonstrated by monitoring joint movements, facial expressions, and respiration.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s23041774","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,2,6]],"date-time":"2023-02-06T02:06:43Z","timestamp":1675649203000},"page":"1774","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":28,"title":["Stretchable Strain Sensor with Small but Sufficient Adhesion to Skin"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"23","author":[{"given":"Takaaki","family":"Nishikawa","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mechanical Engineering, Keio University, Kanagawa, Yokohama 223-8522, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Hisaya","family":"Yamane","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mechanical Engineering, Keio University, Kanagawa, Yokohama 223-8522, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Naoji","family":"Matsuhisa","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Keio University, Kanagawa, Yokohama 223-8522, Japan"},{"name":"JST PRESTO, 7 Gobancho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 102-0076, Japan"},{"name":"Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo, Meguro-ku, Tokyo 153-8505, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-5632-2143","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Norihisa","family":"Miki","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mechanical Engineering, Keio University, Kanagawa, Yokohama 223-8522, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2023,2,4]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"686","DOI":"10.1039\/D2SD00037G","article-title":"Recent Advances in Skin-like Wearable Sensors: Sensor Design, Health Monitoring, and Intelligent Auxiliary","volume":"1","author":"Huang","year":"2022","journal-title":"Sens.
