Measurement data on the evolution of microwave permeability with film thickness are analyzed in the framework of a model for the film with a regular stripe domain structure and out-of-plane magnetic anisotropy. A correlation between the microwave magnetic properties and magnetic structure of permalloy films is established. It is demonstrated that the observed decrease in the ferromagnetic resonance frequency and the static permeability with a growth in the film thickness can ascribed to the appearance of perpendicular anisotropy and the formation of a stripe domain structure. The calculated dependences of the ferromagnetic resonance frequency and static permeability on the film thickness are in reasonable agreement with the measurement results. Based on the analysis of these dependences, the domain width in the permalloy films is estimated. It is found that for thick permalloy films, the domain width is of the order of the film thickness. The results obtained may be useful for high-frequency applications of soft magnetic films.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/s24196165","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2024,9,24]],"date-time":"2024-09-24T08:56:06Z","timestamp":1727168166000},"page":"6165","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":4,"title":["Analysis of Relationship between Microwave Magnetic Properties and Magnetic Structure of Permalloy Films"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"24","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-3719-5692","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Nikita A.","family":"Buznikov","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow 125412, Russia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Andrey N.","family":"Lagarkov","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow 125412, Russia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Sergey A.","family":"Maklakov","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow 125412, Russia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-1118-0070","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Sergey S.","family":"Maklakov","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow 125412, Russia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Alexey V.","family":"Osipov","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow 125412, Russia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Konstantin N.","family":"Rozanov","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow 125412, Russia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-5914-8187","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Polina A.","family":"Zezyulina","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow 125412, Russia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2024,9,24]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"807","DOI":"10.1016\/S0304-8853(00)00293-6","article-title":"Magnetic thin-film inductors for RF-integrated circuits","volume":"215","author":"Yamaguchi","year":"2000","journal-title":"J.
