Indeed, they are symmetric identities involving type 2 Bernoulli polynomials and power sums of consecutive odd positive integers, and the ones involving type 2 Euler polynomials and alternating power sums of odd positive integers. Furthermore, we consider two random variables created from random variables having Laplace distributions and show their moments are given in terms of the type 2 Bernoulli and Euler numbers.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/sym11050613","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2019,5,2]],"date-time":"2019-05-02T03:15:22Z","timestamp":1556766922000},"page":"613","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":17,"title":["Identities of Symmetry for Type 2 Bernoulli and Euler Polynomials"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"11","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-9599-7015","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Dae","family":"Kim","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, Sogang University, Seoul 04107, Korea"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Han","family":"Kim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, Kwangwoon University, Seoul 01897, Korea"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Dojin","family":"Kim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, Pusan National University, Busan 46241, Korea"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Taekyun","family":"Kim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, Kwangwoon University, Seoul 01897, Korea"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2019,5,2]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","first-page":"127","article-title":"Symmetry of power sum and twisted Bernoulli polynomials","volume":"18","author":"Kim","year":"2009","journal-title":"Adv.
