The Williamson fluid model is considered for the analysis of flow properties. The current fluid model has the ability to reveal Newtonian and non-Newtonian behavior. The present model is formulated via momentum, entropy, and energy equations, under the approximation of small Reynolds number and long wavelength of the peristaltic wave. A regular perturbation scheme is employed to obtain the series solutions up to third-order approximation. All the leading parameters are discussed with the help of graphs for entropy and temperature profiles. The irreversibility process is also discussed with the help of Bejan number. Streamlines are plotted to examine the trapping phenomena. Results obtained provide an excellent benchmark for further study on the entropy production with mass transfer and peristaltic pumping mechanism.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/sym12010102","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,1,6]],"date-time":"2020-01-06T10:34:46Z","timestamp":1578306886000},"page":"102","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":54,"title":["Mathematical Analysis on an Asymmetrical Wavy Motion of Blood under the Influence Entropy Generation with Convective Boundary Conditions"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"12","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-0704-2230","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Arshad","family":"Riaz","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, Division of Science and Technology, University of Education, Lahore 54770, Pakistan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-3219-7579","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Muhammad Mubashir","family":"Bhatti","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"College of Mathematics and Systems Science, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Qingdao 266590, China"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-7805-8259","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Rahmat","family":"Ellahi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics & Statistics, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences (FBAS), International Islamic University (IIUI), Islamabad 44000, Pakistan"},{"name":"Fulbright Fellow Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of California Riverside, Riverside, CA 92521, USA"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-2641-1575","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Ahmed","family":"Zeeshan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics & Statistics, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences (FBAS), International Islamic University (IIUI), Islamabad 44000, Pakistan"}]},{"given":"Sadiq","family":"M.
