In order to discover the exact solutions to the higher order Sasa-Satsuma equation in the sense of the beta derivative, the paper will discuss the modified simple equation (MSE) and exponential rational function (ERF) approaches. In general, symmetry and travelling wave solutions of the Sasa-Satsuma equation have a common correlation with each other, thus we reduce equations from wave transformations to ordinary differential equations with the help of Lie symmetries. Actually, we can say that wave moves are symmetrical. The considered procedures are effective, accurate, simple, and straightforward to compute. In order to highlight the physical characteristics of the solutions, we also provide 2D and 3D plots of the results.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/sym14112390","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2022,11,14]],"date-time":"2022-11-14T02:34:58Z","timestamp":1668393298000},"page":"2390","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":29,"title":["Extraction of Exact Solutions of Higher Order Sasa-Satsuma Equation in the Sense of Beta Derivative"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"14","author":[{"given":"Emad","family":"Fadhal","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics and Statics, Collage of Science, King Faisal University, Hafuf 31982, Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-2448-2481","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Arzu","family":"Akbulut","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics, Art-Science Faculty, Uludag University, 16059 Bursa, Turkey"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-5700-9127","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Melike","family":"Kaplan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Kastamonu University, 37150 Kastamonu, Turkey"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-6447-6361","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Muath","family":"Awadalla","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics and Statics, Collage of Science, King Faisal University, Hafuf 31982, Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-2744-6320","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Kinda","family":"Abuasbeh","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Mathematics and Statics, Collage of Science, King Faisal University, Hafuf 31982, Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2022,11,11]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"507","DOI":"10.3934\/eect.2015.4.507","article-title":"Controllability for fractional evolution inclusions without compactness","volume":"4","author":"Zhou","year":"2015","journal-title":"Evol.
