Original symmetric subdivision and its deduced subdivisions have similar increasing characteristics to the family of pseudo-splines from the polynomial reproduction point of view. Several examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the method.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/sym15122202","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,12,15]],"date-time":"2023-12-15T06:53:16Z","timestamp":1702623196000},"page":"2202","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["A Simple Method for Constructing Symmetric Subdivision Schemes with High-Degree Polynomial Reproduction"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"15","author":[{"given":"Jun","family":"Shi","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Mathematics, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230601, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Jieqing","family":"Tan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Mathematics, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230601, China"},{"name":"School of Computer and Information, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230601, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-9208-1949","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Li","family":"Zhang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Mathematics, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230601, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2023,12,15]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"257","DOI":"10.1016\/0167-8396(87)90001-X","article-title":"A 4-point interpolatory subdivision scheme for curve design","volume":"4","author":"Dyn","year":"1987","journal-title":"Comput.
