However, the importance of phase convention has been overlooked for a long time, and the sources of different conventions are never explicitly addressed. This obscure situation can cause mistakes and misinterpretations in hadron physics. In this paper, we systematically analyze and compare the flavor SU3 phase conventions from the perspective of the quark model. All sources that could lead to different conventions are pointed out and carefully studied. With the tool of the quark model, we also clarify some misconceptions and demonstrate a consistent way to incorporate different conventions.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/sym16081061","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2024,8,19]],"date-time":"2024-08-19T03:43:28Z","timestamp":1724039008000},"page":"1061","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":3,"title":["Phase Conventions in Hadron Physics from the Perspective of the Quark Model"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"16","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-4072-7752","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Yu","family":"Lu","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Physical Sciences, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), Beijing 100049, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-3651-5722","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Haojie","family":"Jing","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"College of Physics and Electronic Engineering, Shanxi University, Taiyuan 030006, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-4583-7691","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Jiajun","family":"Wu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Physical Sciences, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), Beijing 100049, China"},{"name":"Southern Center for Nuclear-Science Theory (SCNT), Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huizhou 516000, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2024,8,17]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"436","DOI":"10.1063\/1.1703974","article-title":"On the representation of the semisimple Lie groups. 1.
