This paper addresses the question of what are the best practices of integrating lean principles within robotics systems to enhance production processes in manufacturing systems through a comprehensive literature review, direct engagement with robotics engineers, and generating a Voice of Use Table Performance analysis (VOT) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to illuminate the advantages realized from lean principles within robotics systems and draw attention to the current gap of how robotics systems can become lean in manufacturing to maximize their value in production processes.
