As a core organizational resource, human resources serves as a critical enabler for fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR) and driving sustainable development. Whether enterprises can enhance the contribution of human resources to the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development is an important issue that currently needs to be studied in the field of human resource management. Therefore, this research follows the grounded theory method, integrates CSR and sustainable development theories, and uses systematic thinking to deeply explore the concept and structure of sustainable human resource management systems, and it develops relevant scales and combines exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis methods to revise and validate the scales. The research results show that the sustainable human resource management system is a multidimensional concept, including the following: employee rights protection, employee training and development, employee occupational health, employee relations management, and sustainable development management; its measurement scale contains five factors, with a total of 20 items. The results of factor analysis indicate that the reliability and validity tests of the developed scale have reached an ideal level. The research results enrich the concept and connotation of sustainable human resource management systems, and the development of the sustainable human resource management systems scale aims to promote the extension of the field of sustainable human resource management systems from theoretical exploration to empirical analysis research, providing a theoretical basis for Chinese enterprises to achieve sustainable development goals.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3390\/systems13110980","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,11,4]],"date-time":"2025-11-04T14:02:09Z","timestamp":1762264929000},"page":"980","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3390\/mdpi_crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Theoretical Exploration of Sustainable Human Resource Management Systems: A Corporate Social Responsibility Perspective"],"prefix":"10.3390","volume":"13","author":[{"given":"Wenjian","family":"Wu","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Economics and Management, Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu 610500, China"},{"name":"Officers College of PAP, Chengdu 610213, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Jijun","family":"Zhang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Economics and Management, Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu 610500, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Pei","family":"Zhou","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Party and Administrative Office, Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu 610500, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Yuguang","family":"Chen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Economics and Management, Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu 610500, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Mi","family":"Han","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Economics and Management, Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu 610500, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"1968","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2025,11,3]]},"reference":[{"key":"ref_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"703","DOI":"10.1007\/s10551-016-3310-8","article-title":"Sustainable human resource management with salience of stakeholders: A top management perspective","volume":"152","author":"Saru","year":"2018","journal-title":"J.
