This study evaluates the groundwater quality of the Guire aquifer (Eastern High Atlas) using an integrated approach combining hydrochemical, isotopic (\u03b418O, \u03b42H, \u03b413C), multivariate statistical, and Geographic Information System (GIS) analyses alongside the Water Quality Index (WQI). Sixteen wells were monitored for physicochemical parameters (pH: 7\u20137.9; EC: 480\u20133004 \u03bcS\/cm; BOD5: 1.03\u201330.5 mg\/L; COD: 10.2\u201345.75 mg\/L) and major ions, revealing widespread exceedances of Moroccan standards for Cl\u2212, HCO3\u2212, Mg2+, Ca2+, and NH4+. WQI classified 81% of samples as \u201cPoor\u201d to \u201cUnsuitable for drinking\u201d (WQI: 51\u2013537), driven by elevated Cl\u2212, Na+, and SO42\u2212 from Triassic evaporite dissolution and NO3\u2212 (up to 45 mg\/L) from agricultural runoff. Stable isotopes (\u03b418O: \u22127.73\u2030 to \u22125.08\u2030; \u03b42H: \u221266.14\u2030 to \u221244.20\u2030) indicate Atlantic-influenced recharge at 900\u20132200 m altitudes, with a \u03b418O-\u03b42H slope of 5.93 reflecting evaporation during infiltration. Strontium (Sr2+\/Ca2+: 0.0024\u20130.0236) and bromide (Br\/Cl: 8.47 \u00d7 10\u22125\u20139.88 \u00d7 10\u22124) ratios further confirm evaporitic dominance over anthropogenic contamination. This work provides actionable insights for policymakers, advocating for targeted restrictions on fertilizers, enhanced monitoring near evaporite zones, and artificial recharge initiatives.
