It provides a comprehensive exploration of Ukrainian encyclopedic discourse within the paradigm of communicative pragmatics (linguistic pragmatics) for the first time: the main functions of this discourse are widely analyzed, such as informational, which involves the exchange of scientific knowledge between people; social, which shapes our thoughts, worldview in general; a directly pragmatic function that ensures the coordination of common actions between producers of encyclopedic content and its
