J. Combin."],"abstract":"<jats:p>The Abel identity is $(x+y)^{n}=\\sum\\limits_{i=0}^{n}{n\\choose i}x (x-iz)^{i-1}(y+iz)^{n-i}$, where $x,y$ and $z$ are real numbers.
