Chim."],"abstract":"<jats:p>\nAcute and chronic exposure to lead induces oxidative damage and morphologic and physiological changes in tissues and organs. The aims of this study were to determine the concentration of heavy metals like Zn, Al, Li, Cu and Pb in different organs and to identify histopathological changes in the liver and kidneys of laboratory animals in case of chronic lead intoxication. In most cases, the heavy metal concentrations analyzed in the control group organs are significantly lower than the values determined in the organs in the experimental groups.
