We report high-contrast imaging observations of GQ Lup B with VLT\/NACO at 4\u20135 <jats:italic>\u03bc<\/jats:italic>m and medium-resolution integral field spectroscopy with VLT\/MUSE. The optical spectrum is consistent with an M9 spectral type, shows characteristics of a low-gravity atmosphere, and exhibits strong H<jats:italic>\u03b1<\/jats:italic> emission. The <jats:italic>H<\/jats:italic> \u2212 <jats:italic>M<\/jats:italic>\u2032 color is \u22731 mag redder than field dwarfs with similar spectral types, and a detailed analysis of the spectral energy distribution (SED) from optical to mid-infrared wavelengths reveals excess emission in the <jats:italic>L<\/jats:italic>\u2032, NB4.05, and <jats:italic>M<\/jats:italic>\u2032 bands. The excess flux is well described by a blackbody component with <jats:italic>T<\/jats:italic>\n                  <jats:sub>disk<\/jats:sub> \u2248 460 K and <jats:italic>R<\/jats:italic>\n                  <jats:sub>disk<\/jats:sub> \u2248 65 <jats:italic>R<\/jats:italic>\n                  <jats:sub>J<\/jats:sub> and is expected to trace continuum emission from small grains in a protolunar disk. We derive an extinction of <jats:italic>A<\/jats:italic>\n                  <jats:sub>\n                     <jats:italic>V<\/jats:italic>\n                  <\/jats:sub> \u2248 2.3 mag from the broadband SED with a suspected origin in the vicinity of the companion. We also combine 15 yr of astrometric measurements and constrain the mutual inclination with the circumstellar disk to 84 \u00b1 9 deg, indicating a tumultuous dynamical evolution or a stellar-like formation pathway. From the measured H<jats:italic>\u03b1<\/jats:italic> flux and the estimated companion mass, <jats:italic>M<\/jats:italic>\n                  <jats:sub>p<\/jats:sub> \u2248 30 <jats:italic>M<\/jats:italic>\n                  <jats:sub>J<\/jats:sub>, we derive an accretion rate of <jats:inline-formula>\n                     <jats:tex-math>\n\n<\/jats:tex-math>\n                     <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" overflow=\"scroll\">\n                        <mml:mover accent=\"true\">\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mi>M<\/mml:mi>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mo>\u0307<\/mml:mo>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                        <\/mml:mover>\n                        <mml:mo>\u2248<\/mml:mo>\n                        <mml:msup>\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mn>10<\/mml:mn>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mo>\u2212<\/mml:mo>\n                              <mml:mn>6.5<\/mml:mn>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                        <\/mml:msup>\n                        <mml:mspace width=\"0.25em\"\/>\n                        <mml:msub>\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mi>M<\/mml:mi>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mi mathvariant=\"normal\">J<\/mml:mi>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                        <\/mml:msub>\n                        <mml:mspace width=\"0.25em\"\/>\n                        <mml:msup>\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mi>yr<\/mml:mi>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                           <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mo>\u2212<\/mml:mo>\n                              <mml:mn>1<\/mml:mn>\n                           <\/mml:mrow>\n                        <\/mml:msup>\n                     <\/mml:math>\n                     <jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1999\/xlink\" xlink:href=\"ajac2c7fieqn1.gif\" xlink:type=\"simple\"\/>\n                  <\/jats:inline-formula>.
