It is proved that they have a higher dimension. New image presents the structure of biomolecules, appropriate to their higher dimension, and given an explanation of the observed properties of biomolecules in view of their higher dimension. It is proved that the highest dimension of biomolecules based on the hybridization of atomic orbitals chiral centers (binding sites). It was found that the highest dimension of biomolecules is a consequence of the high energy enclosed in them, necessary for the execution of complex functions in living organisms.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijcce.2016070104","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2017,2,7]],"date-time":"2017-02-07T08:52:45Z","timestamp":1486457565000},"page":"47-60","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":20,"title":["The Structure, Topological, and Functional Dimension of Biomolecules"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"5","author":[{"given":"Gennadiy Vladimirovich","family":"Zhizhin","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Russian Ecological Academy, Saint-Petersburg, Russia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"IJCCE.2016070104-0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0550-3213(88)90147-2"},{"key":"IJCCE.2016070104-1","unstructured":"Gray H.B.
