Hence, there is a need for new laws to be set with a collective, comprehensive, view of crime and a global understanding. This article studies 5 different countries' laws pertaining to cybercrimes namely: Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. These different countries issued different laws at different times, some in 2007 others are as new as 2015. The article looks at the laws from an academic definition of different crimes, and also describes the laws from a perspective of each country.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijcwt.2018070104","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2018,7,11]],"date-time":"2018-07-11T11:01:17Z","timestamp":1531306877000},"page":"46-59","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":10,"title":["Cyber Security Crime and Punishment"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"8","author":[{"given":"Evon","family":"Abu-Taieh","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"The University of Jordan-Aqaba, Aqaba, Jordan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Auhood","family":"Alfaries","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Shaha","family":"Al-Otaibi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Ghadah","family":"Aldehim","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"IJCWT.2018070104-0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1109\/SC2.2017.23"},{"key":"IJCWT.2018070104-1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.20943\/01201702.3642"},{"key":"IJCWT.2018070104-2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1093\/chinesejil\/jmw041"},{"key":"IJCWT.2018070104-3","unstructured":"Cukier, M.
