The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used as the theoretical foundation for this study. The results indicated that trust in the internet and trust in government were both significant predictors of the intention to use e-government services. It was also discovered that trust in the internet was a positive determinant of trust in government. Furthermore, the study revealed that while perceived usefulness had a significant moderating effect on the impact of trust in the internet on the intention to use e-government services, it was however not significant in moderating the impact of trust in government on the intention to use. The significant and non-significant moderating effect of perceived usefulness on both the relationship between trust in the internet and trust in government on the intention to use is the unique contribution of this study. The implications of these findings are discussed.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijegr.2019010102","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2019,6,11]],"date-time":"2019-06-11T11:38:58Z","timestamp":1560253138000},"page":"17-35","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":10,"title":["Exploring the Moderating Effect of Perceived Usefulness on the Adoption of E-Government Services"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"15","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-2964-1736","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Isaac Kofi","family":"Mensah","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Economics and Management, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Ganzhou, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"IJEGR.2019010102-0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.tele.2016.05.001"},{"key":"IJEGR.2019010102-1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1109\/ICITM.2018.8333948"},{"key":"IJEGR.2019010102-2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1166\/asl.2018.11342"},{"key":"IJEGR.2019010102-3","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.techsoc.2018.06.007"},{"issue":"4","key":"IJEGR.2019010102-4","first-page":"1","article-title":"A proposed instrument dimensions for measuring e-government service quality.
