The motivation behind the three proposed models is the failure of some well-known existing SPAs (Siri and Salma) to extract contextual information from a conversation. The authors call this kind of information: the conversational frame. For evaluating the suggested models, the authors also implement an abstraction of the existing SPAs that they call non-framed model. To evaluate the four implementations, 36 respondents answered an on-line questionnaire after watching four videos that the authors recorded per implementation. The authors statistically prove that their three suggested models precede the non-framed model. The researchers attribute this to the fact that our models overcome the shortcoming present in non-framed model. Moreover, their model that implements the conversational frame precedes all other models.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijertcs.2020100106","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,10,6]],"date-time":"2020-10-06T12:59:57Z","timestamp":1601989197000},"page":"104-133","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Conversational Frames"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"11","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-3600-2764","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Omar Saad","family":"Almousa","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-1174-9239","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Hazem","family":"Migdady","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Oman College of Management and Technology, Muscat, Oman"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Mohammad","family":"Al-Talib","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Yarmouk University, Jordan"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"2432","container-title":["International Journal of Embedded and Real-Time Communication Systems"],"original-title":[],"language":"ng","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/viewtitle.aspx?TitleId=264212","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,5,6]],"date-time":"2022-05-06T16:22:20Z","timestamp":1651854140000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/services.igi-global.com\/resolvedoi\/resolve.aspx?doi=10.4018\/IJERTCS.2020100106"}},"subtitle":["Improving Conversation Context in Smart Personal Assistants"],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2020,10,1]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"4","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2020,10]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.4018\/ijertcs.2020100106","relation":{},"ISSN":["1947-3176","1947-3184"],"issn-type":[{"type":"print","value":"1947-3176"},{"type":"electronic","value":"1947-3184"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2020,10,1]]}}}
