With this high user demand, the quality of mobile applications is becoming a serious issue. With the perspective of quality enhancement, these applications must be smart enough so that they can handle any kind of issue automatically. Also, with the increasing complexity of these applications, they need to be more self-managed for better operability and interoperability. The self-management features allow handling issues such as error handling, optimization, resource utilization, configuration management etc. by its own. This will lead to the better functionality of mobile applications. The present research work proposes to incorporate autonomic capability as an attribute for assessing mobile applications. A multi-criteria decision-making approach named ELECTRE-TRI outranking method is used to evaluate the self-management aspect i.e. the autonomic capability of mobile applications to provide the quality estimation of mobile applications a better way.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijesma.2019040103","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2019,3,12]],"date-time":"2019-03-12T12:38:07Z","timestamp":1552394287000},"page":"43-55","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["Evaluating Self-Management Features for Mobile Applications"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"11","author":[{"given":"Puneet Kumar","family":"Aggarwal","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Amity University, Nodia, India"}]},{"given":"P.S.","family":"Grover","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"KIIT Group of Colleges, Gurgaon, India"}]},{"given":"Laxmi","family":"Ahuja","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Amity University, Nodia, India"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"IJESMA.2019040103-0","author":"A.Abran","year":"2010","journal-title":"ISO 9126: Analysis of Quality Models and Measures"},{"key":"IJESMA.2019040103-1","first-page":"4641","article-title":"Self Controlled Traffic Management Using Autonomic System.","author":"P.Aggarwal","year":"2016","journal-title":"Proceedings of 3rd International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom),"},{"key":"IJESMA.2019040103-2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1109\/ACCESS.2018.2818724"},{"key":"IJESMA.2019040103-3","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1109\/TDSC.2004.2"},{"key":"IJESMA.2019040103-4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.procs.2017.06.129"},{"key":"IJESMA.2019040103-5","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"Dehraj, P., Sharma, A., & Grover, P.
