This challenge is prompting many universities to explore new approaches including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle for delivering courses to help extend teaching and learning beyond the classroom. Using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as an underlying theory, this study investigated students' perceived usefulness as well as the perceived ease of use of Moodle in the University of Education, Winneba in Ghana. The study also used multiple linear regression to determine if these factors have any impact on the rate at which students use Moodle. Data was collected from a random sample of 229 students from the Faculty of Science Education using a questionnaire. The analysis revealed that students' perceived usefulness of Moodle and perceived challenges in using Moodle combined contributes significantly to students' rate of Moodle use.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijicte.2017010102","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2016,10,12]],"date-time":"2016-10-12T11:41:45Z","timestamp":1476272505000},"page":"14-26","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":31,"title":["Factors Affecting University Students' Use of Moodle"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"13","author":[{"given":"Daniel Danso","family":"Essel","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Education, Winneba, Ghana"}]},{"given":"Osafo Apeanti","family":"Wilson","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Education, Winneba, Ghana"}]}],"member":"2432","container-title":["International Journal of Information and Communication Technology Education"],"original-title":[],"language":"ng","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/viewtitle.aspx?TitleId=169110","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,5,7]],"date-time":"2022-05-07T01:41:40Z","timestamp":1651887700000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/services.igi-global.com\/resolvedoi\/resolve.aspx?doi=10.4018\/IJICTE.2017010102"}},"subtitle":["An Empirical Study Based on TAM"],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2017,1,1]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"1","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2017,1]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.4018\/ijicte.2017010102","relation":{},"ISSN":["1550-1876","1550-1337"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1550-1876","type":"print"},{"value":"1550-1337","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2017,1,1]]}}}
