Given a data set that is deemed the standard reference for some object, i.e. a flower, industry, disease, or galaxy, other data sets can be compared against it to identify its proximity to the standard. Thus, data that might not lend itself well to traditional methods of analysis could identify new perspectives or views of the data and thus, potentially new perceptions of novel and innovative solutions. This method comes out of the field of artificial intelligence, particularly artificial neural networks, and utilizes both machine learning and pattern recognition to display an innovative analysis.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijissc.2015100104","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2015,7,7]],"date-time":"2015-07-07T15:11:42Z","timestamp":1436281902000},"page":"52-81","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["Artificial Neural Network What-If Theory"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"6","author":[{"given":"Paolo Massimo","family":"Buscema","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Semeion Research Institute, Rome, Italy & Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, CCMB, University of Colorado, Denver, CO, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"William J","family":"Tastle","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","container-title":["International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change"],"original-title":[],"language":"ng","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/viewtitle.aspx?TitleId=133163","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,6,1]],"date-time":"2022-06-01T22:25:05Z","timestamp":1654122305000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/services.igi-global.com\/resolvedoi\/resolve.aspx?doi=10.4018\/IJISSC.2015100104"}},"subtitle":[""],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2015,10,1]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"4","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2015,10]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.4018\/ijissc.2015100104","relation":{},"ISSN":["1941-868X","1941-8698"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1941-868X","type":"print"},{"value":"1941-8698","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2015,10,1]]}}}
