This is because there is no recognized way of calculating the actual project duration compared to the authorized project duration. Data were collected through a mixed method using a Critical Incident Technique (CIT) and a survey. The study finds that time error can occur throughout the project execution phase. Findings suggest that challenged projects could be successful or failed projects using a model of IT Project Outcomes Testing (MITPOT). Thus, this model establishes a foundation of Project End Theory (PET).<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijitpm.2017070105","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2017,5,23]],"date-time":"2017-05-23T14:11:29Z","timestamp":1495548689000},"page":"69-81","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":4,"title":["An Introduction to Project End Theory in Project Management"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"8","author":[{"given":"Umar A.","family":"Altahtooh","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Taibah University, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Margaret W.","family":"Emsley","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Manchester, Manchester, United Kingdom"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"IJITPM.2017070105-0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.4018\/ijitpm.2014070105"},{"issue":"4","key":"IJITPM.2017070105-1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"25","DOI":"10.1177\/875697289903000405","article-title":"The logical framework method for defining project success.","volume":"30","author":"D.Baccarni","year":"1999","journal-title":"Project Management Journal"},{"key":"IJITPM.2017070105-2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1191\/1478088706qp063oa"},{"issue":"3","key":"IJITPM.2017070105-3","first-page":"8","article-title":"Developing a risk estimation model from IT project failure research.","volume":"9","author":"M.Bronte-Stewart","year":"2005","journal-title":"Computing And Information Systems"},{"key":"IJITPM.2017070105-4","year":"2010","journal-title":"Saudi Arabia: information technology report"},{"key":"IJITPM.2017070105-5","unstructured":"Collins, J.
