While shared leadership has gained considerable attention in the literature in recent years, it has received little attention in information systems (IS) project teams. In this study, a theoretical moderation framework in IS project teams that portrays the positive relationship between shared leadership and IS project success is presented. Moreover, project-centered moderators (i.e., project complexity and project task interdependence) and team-centered moderators (i.e., team autonomy and team supportive culture) have been proposed to influence the shared leadership-IS project success relationship. This study proposes that this relationship is stronger when projects are more complex and more interdependent, and when teams have a higher level of autonomy and supportive culture.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijitpm.2021070104","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,7,6]],"date-time":"2021-07-06T10:15:18Z","timestamp":1625566518000},"page":"50-63","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["Shared Leadership"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"12","author":[{"given":"Qiong","family":"Wu","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Business, Macau University of Science and Technology, Macao, China"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-1688-1087","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Kathryn","family":"Cormican","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Lero - the Irish Software Research Centre, School of Engineering, National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-6890-2914","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Suzana","family":"Sampaio","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Computer Science, Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, Recife, Brazil"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","container-title":["International Journal of Information Technology Project Management"],"original-title":[],"language":"ng","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/viewtitle.aspx?TitleId=283087","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,5,6]],"date-time":"2022-05-06T21:47:00Z","timestamp":1651873620000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/services.igi-global.com\/resolvedoi\/resolve.aspx?doi=10.4018\/IJITPM.2021070104"}},"subtitle":["Towards a Theoretical Moderation Framework in Information Systems Project Teams"],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2021,7,1]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"3","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2021,7]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.4018\/ijitpm.2021070104","relation":{},"ISSN":["1938-0232","1938-0240"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1938-0232","type":"print"},{"value":"1938-0240","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2021,7,1]]}}}
