In the study, the browser\/server model was adopted to design a music history theory course as a massive open online course. Through a questionnaire survey of college students, the demand for the course was understood, and the reasons affecting the demand for the degree were analyzed. The results showed that before choosing to enroll, students paid more attention to the degree to which this method would improve their current learning status, and how much it would help them acquire knowledge and improve learning efficiency.
