This article examines the work of French philosopher Gilbert Simondon as an important, yet to date little explored resource in organization studies. Following call for a relational ontology apprehending the enfolding of materiality and social resources, Simondon's analytical framework which include key concepts such as individuation, transduction and relations, is presented. The article contributes to the recent debates regarding how to theorize and examine material resources such as information and communication technologies used in organizations.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijkss.2015010102","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2015,3,17]],"date-time":"2015-03-17T18:24:17Z","timestamp":1426616657000},"page":"21-33","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Sociomaterial Practices, Relational Ontologies, and Information Technology"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"6","author":[{"given":"Alexander","family":"Styhre","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Gothenburg, Gothenburg, Sweden"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"doi-asserted-by":"publisher","key":"ijkss.2015010102-0","DOI":"10.1177\/0306312708089715"},{"doi-asserted-by":"publisher","key":"ijkss.2015010102-1","DOI":"10.1016\/S1471-7727(03)00013-7"},{"key":"ijkss.2015010102-2","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","DOI":"10.5962\/bhl.title.5851","author":"W.
