This paper brings some of those possibilities to light by offering a range of perspectives based in this area. It is not only the technical systems that are developing, but novel approaches to the design and understanding of audio-based mobile systems are evolving to offer new perspectives on interaction and design and support such systems to be applied in areas, such as the humanities.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijmhci.2017100103","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2017,8,1]],"date-time":"2017-08-01T08:03:49Z","timestamp":1501574629000},"page":"25-40","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":24,"title":["Audio Technology and Mobile Human Computer Interaction"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"9","author":[{"given":"Alan","family":"Chamberlain","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK"}]},{"given":"Mads","family":"B\u00f8dker","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of IT Management, Copenhagen Business School, Copenhagen, Denmark"}]},{"given":"Adrian","family":"Hazzard","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK"}]},{"given":"David","family":"McGookin","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Computer Science, Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland"}]},{"given":"David","family":"De Roure","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Oxford e-Research Centre, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK"}]},{"given":"Pip","family":"Willcox","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK"}]},{"given":"Konstantinos","family":"Papangelis","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Science and Software Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Suzhou, China"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"IJMHCI.2017100103-0","unstructured":"Abowd, G.D., Atkeson, C.G., Hong, J., Long, S., Kooper, R., & Pinkerton, M.
