{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,6,10]],"date-time":"2026-06-10T15:26:05Z","timestamp":1781105165463,"version":"3.54.1"},"reference-count":19,"publisher":"IGI Global Scientific Publishing","issue":"4","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2012,10,1]]},"abstract":"<p>This paper explores the implications of the use of System Dynamics to model dramatic works and examines the model used in Pamela Lee Hopkins\u2019 \u201cSimulating Hamlet in the classroom.\u201d This paper addresses this issue from both a literary and a modelling perspective. It begins by discussing the use of System Dynamics modelling in literature within the framework established by Forrester. Two aspects of the model, motivation and evidence revelation, are then examined against evidence from the text, supported by historical information.
