In this work, a real time approach to emotion recognition through facial expression in live video is introduced. Several automatic methods for face localization, facial feature tracker, and facial expression recognition are employed. A robust tracking is achieved by using a face mask to resolve mismatches that could be generated during the tracking process. Action units (AUs) are then built to recognize the facial expression in each frame. The main objective of this work is to provide a prediction ability of a human behavior such as a crime, angry or for being nervous.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/ijtem.2014010108","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2014,4,25]],"date-time":"2014-04-25T13:10:10Z","timestamp":1398431410000},"page":"95-105","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Robust Real-Time Facial Expressions Tracking and Recognition"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"4","author":[{"given":"J.","family":"Zraqou","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Multimedia Systems, Al-Isra University, Amman, Jordan"}]},{"given":"W.","family":"Alkhadour","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Multimedia Systems, Al-Isra University, Amman, Jordan"}]},{"given":"A.","family":"Al-Nu'aimi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Multimedia Systems, Al-Isra University, Amman, Jordan"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"issue":"1","key":"ijtem.2014010108-0","first-page":"96","article-title":"A real-time automated system for the recognition of human facial expressions.
