The healthcare industry will increasingly use a portfolio approach comprised of three closelycoordinated components seamlessly interwoven together: healthcare tasks performed by humans on-site; healthcare tasks performed by humans off-site, including tasks performed in other countries; and healthcare tasks performed by computers without direct human involvement. Finally, this paper deals with intellectual property and legal aspects related to the three-pronged healthcare services paradigm.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/irmj.2008010101","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2011,2,15]],"date-time":"2011-02-15T14:09:45Z","timestamp":1297778985000},"page":"1-26","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":6,"title":["Outsourcing in the Healthcare Industry"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"21","author":[{"given":"Amar","family":"Gupta","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Arizona, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Raj K.","family":"Goyal","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Harvard Medical School and VA Boston Health Care System, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Keith A.","family":"Joiner","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Arizona, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Sanjay","family":"Saini","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","container-title":["Information Resources Management Journal"],"original-title":[],"language":"ng","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/viewtitle.aspx?TitleId=1330","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,6,1]],"date-time":"2022-06-01T22:59:20Z","timestamp":1654124360000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/services.igi-global.com\/resolvedoi\/resolve.aspx?doi=10.4018\/irmj.2008010101"}},"subtitle":["Information Technology, Intellectual Property, and Allied Aspects"],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2008,1,1]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"1","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2008,1]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.4018\/irmj.2008010101","relation":{},"ISSN":["1040-1628","1533-7979"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1040-1628","type":"print"},{"value":"1533-7979","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2008,1,1]]}}}
