This paper highlights how societal indicators are used to measure performance in corporate and government sectors. Corporate societal indicators are explored primarily though literary research. Government societal indicators are explored through an examination of the EPA and Superfund program. The paper demonstrates that there is synergy between corporate, government, and personal government performance measures and how business intelligence tools are making these relationships more transparent.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jbir.2011100103","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2011,10,19]],"date-time":"2011-10-19T16:06:49Z","timestamp":1319040409000},"page":"29-41","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["Performance Management Through Societal Performance Indicators"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"2","author":[{"given":"Joe","family":"White","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Technical Consultant, USA"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"jbir.2011100103-0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1057\/crr.2008.1"},{"issue":"2","key":"jbir.2011100103-1","first-page":"56","article-title":"Strategies to improve government performance.","volume":"39","author":"J.Breul","year":"2010","journal-title":"Public Management"},{"key":"jbir.2011100103-2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1002\/bse.323"},{"key":"jbir.2011100103-3","unstructured":"Ellig, J.
