The findings presented here show that although journalists frequently use political bloggers as sources in their news coverage, they only reference certain blogs in certain ways at certain times. To be precise, journalists turn to political blogs primarily during national election campaigns and this turn is commonly in the direction of a relatively small group of interactive, liberal blogs.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jep.2013040101","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2013,7,3]],"date-time":"2013-07-03T22:34:11Z","timestamp":1372890851000},"page":"1-20","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":7,"title":["Old Media, New Media Sources"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"4","author":[{"given":"Kevin","family":"Wallsten","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"California State University, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocab":"crossref"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"jep.2013040101-0","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"Adamic, L., & Glance, N.
