This study draws on two case studies of small UK firms sourcing software development from India and Bangladesh. Using Nonaka and Konno\u2019s knowledge creation theory, the role of copresent and ICT-based interactions in managing knowledge transfer is explained. The article contributes an extension of the concepts of knowledge creation theory by providing evidence of the role of copresent and ICT-based interaction for knowledge transfer in the context of offshore software development.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jgim.2009070903","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2010,4,30]],"date-time":"2010-04-30T08:36:01Z","timestamp":1272616561000},"page":"55-73","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":10,"title":["Managing Knowledge Transfer in Offshore Software Development"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"17","author":[{"given":"Aini","family":"Aman","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Brian","family":"Nicholson","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Manchester Business School, UK"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"jgim.2009070903-0","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"Boden, D., & Molotch, H.
