Recent studies suggest that organizations are bringing their previously outsourced IT operations and services back in-house with one reason being employee dissatisfaction with prior outsourcing experiences. The results of this study indicate that for every 10% increase in motivating language, one can expect to see a 4.3% increase in an IT employee's intent to stay with an organization during a time when backsourcing is occurring.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jgim.2019070101","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2019,4,15]],"date-time":"2019-04-15T18:48:38Z","timestamp":1555354118000},"page":"1-18","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":9,"title":["Motivating Language and Intent to Stay in a Backsourced Information Technology Environment"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"27","author":[{"given":"Lori","family":"Farr","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of the Cumberlands, Williamsburg, USA"}]},{"given":"Mary","family":"Lind","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, USA"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"JGIM.2019070101-0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1111\/j.1467-8551.2006.00478.x"},{"key":"JGIM.2019070101-1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1108\/09604520710817334"},{"key":"JGIM.2019070101-2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.2753\/MIS0742-1222260411"},{"key":"JGIM.2019070101-3","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.ejor.2011.12.007"},{"key":"JGIM.2019070101-4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1080\/10580530.2011.562132"},{"issue":"1","key":"JGIM.2019070101-5","first-page":"75","article-title":"The theories of turnover: Causes, effects, and meaning.","volume":"1","author":"A.
