The authors used fixed-effects regression model on a panel data of variables gathered by reputable world organizations for an 8-year period \u2013 one of the largest examined to date. They tested a research model including GDP per capita, ICT infrastructure, secondary education enrolment, technological knowledge creation and outputs, and six governance indicators: voice and accountability, political stability, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, rule of law, and control of corruption. At the global level, the results indicate that e-participation progress is positively influenced by voice and accountability, GDP per capita, and ICT infrastructure. Analyses based upon six geographical regions of the world and countries' income-level classifications (i.e., low, low-middle, high-middle, high) show that determinants of e-participation progress vary by geographical and income-level contexts.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jgim.2021050109","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,4,20]],"date-time":"2021-04-20T09:40:38Z","timestamp":1618911638000},"page":"212-235","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":12,"title":["Using Panel Data Analysis to Uncover Drivers of E-Participation Progress"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"29","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-7032-3532","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Princely","family":"Ifinedo","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Brock University, Canada"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-9247-8452","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Amar","family":"Anwar","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Cape Breton University, Canada"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-2751-8232","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Danny","family":"Cho","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Brock University, Canada"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","container-title":["Journal of Global Information Management"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/viewtitle.aspx?TitleId=277189","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,5,6]],"date-time":"2022-05-06T09:45:29Z","timestamp":1651830329000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"http:\/\/services.igi-global.com\/resolvedoi\/resolve.aspx?doi=10.4018\/JGIM.2021050109"}},"subtitle":["A Global Insight and Regional Perspectives"],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2021,5]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"3"},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.4018\/jgim.2021050109","relation":{},"ISSN":["1062-7375","1533-7995"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1062-7375","type":"print"},{"value":"1533-7995","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2021,5]]}}}
