The study findings indicate that student expectation was the most important factor that helped the instructors to design and provide appropriate and efficient technology tools and resources to enhance student learning. Further, the instructors were satisfied with the technology tools and resources that were provided, as these helped them to achieve their instructional expectations. These findings could help to stimulate reflections on ways to improve and design useful e-learning tools and resources that could enhance effective teaching and learning in online environments.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jicte.2012010108","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2012,1,13]],"date-time":"2012-01-13T15:26:21Z","timestamp":1326468381000},"page":"76-86","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":25,"title":["Student and Instructor Satisfaction with E-learning Tools in Online Learning Environments"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"8","author":[{"given":"Jared","family":"Keengwe","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of North Dakota, USA"}]},{"given":"Watsatree","family":"Diteeyont","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Northern Colorado, USA"}]},{"given":"Assion","family":"Lawson-Body","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of North Dakota, USA"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"jicte.2012010108-0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.2307\/3250921"},{"key":"jicte.2012010108-1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","DOI":"10.5771\/9781607097495","author":"L.Bowman","year":"2010","journal-title":"Online learning: A user-friendly approach for high school and college students"},{"key":"jicte.2012010108-2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.compedu.2004.06.001"},{"key":"jicte.2012010108-3","author":"A.Clarke","year":"2001","journal-title":"Designing computer-based learning materials"},{"key":"jicte.2012010108-4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1080\/0158791022000009196"},{"key":"jicte.2012010108-5","author":"M.
