Agile workflow technology is a means for the automation of adaptable processes. However, the modification of workflows is a difficult task that is performed by human experts. This article discusses the novel approach of agile workflow technology for dynamic, long-term scenarios and on change reuse. First, it introduces new concepts for a workflow modeling language and enactment service, which enable an interlocked modeling and execution of workflows by means of a sophisticated suspension mechanism. Second, it provides new process-oriented methods of case-based reasoning in order to support the reuse of change experience. The results from an experimental evaluation in a real-world scenario highlight the usefulness and the practical impact of this work.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jiit.2008010104","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2011,2,15]],"date-time":"2011-02-15T13:53:55Z","timestamp":1297778035000},"page":"80-98","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":55,"title":["Agile Workflow Technology and Case-Based Change Reuse for Long-Term Processes"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"4","author":[{"given":"Mirjam","family":"Minor","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Tier, Germany"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Alexander","family":"Tartakovski","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Tier, Germany"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Daniel","family":"Schmalen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Tier, Germany"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","container-title":["International Journal of Intelligent Information Technologies"],"original-title":[],"language":"ng","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/viewtitle.aspx?TitleId=2431","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2022,6,1]],"date-time":"2022-06-01T23:05:46Z","timestamp":1654124746000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/services.igi-global.com\/resolvedoi\/resolve.aspx?doi=10.4018\/jiit.2008010104"}},"subtitle":[""],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2008,1,1]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"1","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2008,1]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.4018\/jiit.2008010104","relation":{},"ISSN":["1548-3657","1548-3665"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1548-3657","type":"print"},{"value":"1548-3665","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2008,1,1]]}}}
