These self-similar properties are very different from the properties of traditional models based on Poisson and Markov-modulated Poisson processes. Simulation with stochastic and long range dependent traffic source models is performed, and the algorithms for buffer overflow simulation for finite buffer single server model under self-similar traffic load SSM\/M\/1\/B are explained. The algorithms for modeling fixedlength sequence generators that are used to simulate self-similar behavior of wireless IP network traffic are developed and applied. Numerical examples are provided, and simulation results are analyzed.<\/p>","DOI":"10.4018\/jitn.2009092805","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2010,4,16]],"date-time":"2010-04-16T11:58:18Z","timestamp":1271419098000},"page":"71-87","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Modeling and Simulation of Self-Similar Traffic in Wireless IP Networks"],"prefix":"10.4018","volume":"1","author":[{"given":"Dimitar","family":"Radev","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"CTT - University of Rousse, Bulgaria"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Izabella","family":"Lokshina","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"MMI - SUNY Oneonta, USA"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Svetla","family":"Radeva","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"CAE - UACEG, Bulgaria"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"2432","reference":[{"key":"jitn.2009092805-0","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"Abry, P., Flandrin, P., Taqqu, M.
