{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,6,10]],"date-time":"2026-06-10T16:47:34Z","timestamp":1781110054656,"version":"3.54.1"},"reference-count":11,"publisher":"IGI Global Scientific Publishing","issue":"2","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2012,4,1]]},"abstract":"<p>This paper demonstrates new methodology to improve security and avoid data overlapping between patients records which are defined as Electronic Patient Records (EPR), a combination of digital watermarking techniques and cryptography are used to ensure the non-separation of EPR and medical images during communications within open networks. The EPR data is encrypted, by a symmetric key algorithm based on an Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem (ECC), and inserted in liberated zone of the Least Significant Bit plan (LSB) of the medical image by compressing the original one using the Huffman coding.
