A key to the species of <jats:italic>Chrysolampus<\/jats:italic> and a summary of geographic distribution and information on host and floral associations are presented. Three new species are described from North America (<jats:italic>Chrysolampus improcerus<\/jats:italic>, <jats:italic>C<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>luridus<\/jats:italic> and <jats:italic>C<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>elegans<\/jats:italic>); <jats:italic>Chrysolampus lycti<\/jats:italic> Crawford is transferred to <jats:italic>Perilampus<\/jats:italic> and synonymized with the European species <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>. <jats:italic>micans<\/jats:italic> Dalman. The genus <jats:italic>Chrysomalla<\/jats:italic> is recorded in the New World for the first time based on the new species <jats:italic>Chrysomalla hesperis<\/jats:italic>. An explanation of the historical biogeography of the genera is proposed that is consistent with Late Cretaceous and Tertiary geological, botanical, and climatic information.
