A low population density characterizes the area but,\u00a0&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;span style=\"font-size: 10px;\"&gt;due to its nighttime occurrence, about 300 victims were registered. This work presents the first preliminary\u00a0&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;span style=\"font-size: 10px;\"&gt;results of a macroseismic survey conducted by two teams of the University of Padova in the territories\u00a0&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;span style=\"font-size: 10px;\"&gt;that suffered major damages.
