{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,4,2]],"date-time":"2026-04-02T01:02:01Z","timestamp":1775091721376,"version":"3.50.1"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"Centre pour la Communication Scientifique Directe (CCSD)","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"abstract":"<jats:p>Join-preserving maps on the discrete time scale $\\omega^+$, referred to as\ntime warps, have been proposed as graded modalities that can be used to\nquantify the growth of information in the course of program execution. The set\nof time warps forms a simple distributive involutive residuated lattice --\ncalled the time warp algebra -- that is equipped with residual operations\nrelevant to potential applications. In this paper, we show that although the\ntime warp algebra generates a variety that lacks the finite model property, it\nnevertheless has a decidable equational theory.
