A pesquisa adotou um paradigma qualitativo, explorat\u00f3rio, com foco na caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o do desempenho dos participantes na resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de tarefas envolvendo padr\u00f5es figurativos, assim como nas dimens\u00f5es da criatividade que emergiram nessas resolu\u00e7\u00f5es e nas varia\u00e7\u00f5es entre os dois contextos. O estudo destaca a import\u00e2ncia de integrar a visualiza\u00e7\u00e3o e a explora\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00faltiplas representa\u00e7\u00f5es na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de futuros professores.
