An attempt is made to understand the tensions that erupted within this group, leading to the resignation and departure of M\u00e1rio Cesariny and Ant\u00f3nio Domingues in the summer of 1948 and the subsequent formation of the group \u00abThe Surrealists\u00bb (1949-1952).
