{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,1,2]],"date-time":"2026-01-02T17:13:55Z","timestamp":1767374035702,"version":"3.46.0"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"Canadian Center of Science and Education","issue":"1","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":["RES"],"abstract":"<jats:p>&lt;p&gt;Objectives: To analyze sexual well-being (SWB) in older adults\u2019 perspective, to investigate the latent constructs that can work as major determinants in SWB and to examine the potential explanatory mechanisms of a SWB overall model, in an older cross-national sample. Method: Measures were completed, using a variety of appropriate methods, including demographics and interviews. Complete data were available for 163 older adults aged between 65-97 years (&lt;em&gt;M&lt;\/em&gt;=74.2; &lt;em&gt;SD&lt;\/em&gt; = 4.743). Data were subjected to content analysis. Representation of the associations and latent constructs were analyzed by a Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA). Results: The most prevalent response of the interviewed participants for SWB was \u201caffection and care\u201d (11.0%). A three-dimension model formed by \u201cintimacy and well-being\u201d, \u201ccare, eroticism and desire\u201d, and \u201csexual activity and health\u201d was presented as a best-fit solution for German older adults. SWB for Portuguese older adults were explained by a three-factor model: \u201cintimacy, health and desire\u201d, \u201caffection and well-being\u201d and \u201csexual activity\u201d.
