Este art\u00edculo examina las diversas acepciones de literacidad cient\u00edfica, las habilidades asociadas y las estrategias educativas, incluyendo el uso de tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n y comunicaci\u00f3n (TIC). A pesar de su importancia, el estudio de la literacidad cient\u00edfica es limitado y presenta discrepancias en sus componentes. La investigaci\u00f3n se organiza en cinco \u00e1reas: definici\u00f3n de literacidad cient\u00edfica en ciencias biol\u00f3gicas, habilidades asociadas, dimensiones de estudio, investigaciones en educaci\u00f3n superior y estrategias educativas relacionadas con las TIC. Se realiz\u00f3 una b\u00fasqueda en bases de datos como Scopus y Web of Science, con publicaciones de los \u00faltimos ocho a\u00f1os (2015-2023). Los hallazgos destacan cuatro habilidades clave: comunicaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica escrita, an\u00e1lisis basado en evidencias, argumentaci\u00f3n y creaci\u00f3n de gr\u00e1ficos. Sin embargo, se identific\u00f3 un vac\u00edo en la ense\u00f1anza de la escritura cient\u00edfica, esencial para desarrollar habilidades argumentativas. La pandemia revel\u00f3 deficiencias en el uso de TIC, enfatizando la necesidad de capacitaci\u00f3n docente y estrategias de aprendizaje activo. Se concluye que la literacidad cient\u00edfica es crucial para formar profesionales capaces de aplicar y comunicar conocimientos en el contexto de las ciencias biol\u00f3gicas, impactando directamente en la calidad de vida de la sociedad.
